paperCutts designs is about making the luxury and joy of embroidery part of your everyday life.

William Morris once said ‘Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful’. I aim for both - with a LARGE dollop of fun, sarcasm and fluorescent thread.

Everything I make is designed to last; whether it’s a leather make up bag that gets more supple with age or one of my huge embroidered blankets that become part of the family. Textiles are imbued with our memories, and embroidery is the luscious cherry on the top. Is it a necessity? No. But goodness it brings joy.

I specialised in digital embroidery during my embroidery degree (an age ago!) and have since been lucky enough to work in design in New York and London, and continue to turn my drawings into stitch. And this is where I share them all with you.
